AERO CDs AERO has developed three CDs for use in standards-based curriculum implementation. A fourth CD is under development (see back panel). AERO Standards This CD presents AERO standards in English language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. These standards are the result of a collaboration between 12 overseas schools and the U.S.-based Council for Basic Education. Grant support was provided by the Office of Overseas Schools and OSAC. link to files > AERO Social Studies The AERO Social Studies CD is a supplement to the AERO Standards CD. It contains the social studies standards and benchmarks, plus a design template, suggested content topics organized by era and world region, and planning guidance for effective unit design. link to files > AERO+ AERO+ is the second phase of the AERO standards, adding three subjects essential to a strong liberal arts education: music, visual arts, and world languages. The three sets of standards and benchmarks were created to serve teachers and students in American and international schools around the world. Music Visual Arts World Languages AERO: SAW Evidence 2 Excellence (E2E) This CD presents the materials and insights of the AERO:SAW Project, which provides a protocol for collegial conversation to critically examine the assessments teachers give their students. The E2E process helps teachers understand if students are “getting” their lessons and making progress towards key concepts in the AERO standards. link to files >
